Origin story

My plan at the time back in 2009 was not to start photographing UFOs or start writing about UFO phenomena. Instead, I was bothered by the visual pollution in our skies caused by commercial air traffic. I ended up taking thousands of daylight photos of aviation contrails, clouds, and other aerial phenomena. To date, I have around 10.000 sky photos, and some of those reveal unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP).

  • Canon EOS 60D DSLR Camera (18 Mega Pixels) with Canon standard EF zoom lens f/2.8L/24-70 mm
  • Canon EOS 90D DSLR Camera (30 Mega Pixels) with Canon EF zoom lens 1:4-5,6/70-300 mm

Methods of still photography

Photography is done handheld in daylight while scouting the sky for interesting clouds and other phenomena. This is typically done with auto focus and the camera pointed at clouds. Usually I don´t see any anomalous objects in the sky during the photography. I discover the UAP subsequently when I analyze the photos.

All UFO pictures taken from 2009 to 2026 have been captured in the JPEG format at the highest possible resolution. This procedure is currently being changed to the RAW image format to ensure the best possible photo quality.

Research procedure

All posts in the “ufo-pictures” category include links to the original full-resolution photos with a copyright notice at the bottom of the article. These files are not untouched (because of the copyright notice inserted via Photoshop) and can only be considered preview files. The original, untouched full-resolution RAW photos targeted at researchers are not accessible on myufophotos.com.
